Maglock and Electric Strike Installation and Repair in NYC

Magnetic locks and electric strikes are what actually hold a door shut in most keypad, card reader, and intercom entry systems. When one fails, the door either won’t lock or won’t release. Metro Local Locksmith installs, repairs, and replaces maglocks and electric strikes for offices, clinics, storefronts, and residential buildings across New York City.

Magnetic locks (maglocks)

Maglocks are common on glass doors and on doors where a strike can’t be cut into the frame. We install new maglocks, realign armature plates, and repair or replace brackets on glass doors where the lock has pulled loose or stopped holding.

Electric strikes

An electric strike replaces the regular strike plate in the frame and releases the latch when your access system tells it to. We install and replace electric strikes, including HES models on glass-door storefront frames, and make sure the door latches fully when it closes.

  • Wiring to keypads, card readers, and intercoms

Access control and intercoms

Maglocks and strikes usually work together with a keypad, key fob reader, or intercom. We install and repair those too. See our intercom and access control page for more.
